Response by WPT to the player suit filing

posted by Nekosohana

The news article can be found here.

What intrigues me about this whole process is how the response tries to "tone down" the value of some of the best players in the world with the comment that: “Therefore, we find it disappointing that a handful of players, of the many thousands who play in WPT events each year, have decided to make these claims even as the sport continues to grow.”

If you don't already know this "handful" of players includes: Howard Lederer, Annie Duke, Andy Bloch, Phil Gordon, and past World Series of Poker champions Chris Ferguson, Greg Raymer, and Joe Hachem, not to mention that Negranu and others who were not part of the suit have also refused to sign these rights waivers.
