While most of us have been concerned about the state of online gambling INSIDE the US, smaller countries like Antigua have been concerned with their GDP and employment. Since online gambling is a mjor export there, the small coutry made a case with the WTO (World Trade Organization) to step up agains the US.
So far step one is past and the ruling which should come in a few weeks would be an excellent win for Antigua (the smallest country to ever win a case like this). What's really good for the humble US Citizen -that would be you and I- is that this could potentially become a precedent case where larger countries can use the ruling in their favor to ensure that European countries have access to the US gambling habit.
Go WTO!
