Amenities(food, drink etc.): Self-serve water and soft drinks for players. Cocktail service and table-side food service available. Games: 3/6 Holdem w/full kill
6/12 Mixed Game w/half kill (game is half Holdem, half Omaha H/L, changes every time the button passes the dealer)
10/20 or 20/40 Holdem (usually only goes on weekends) Review: Poker room has 7 tables and is on the top floor of the riverboat, completely removed from the casino noise and smoke. Dealers are very friendly and fast (with one exception).
The 3/6 holdem is very loose; with no pre-flop raise it is not uncommon for 7 to 10 players to see the flop.
The 6/12 game has a mix of good and bad players. Usually some holdem players who can hold their own at 10/20 and 20/40 will play 6/12 when a bigger game isn't going. Usually they are balanced by several 20-something kids who watch too much ESPN -- they are especially bad at omaha and frequently misread hands, forget to play 2 hole cards, etc.

| 8 | original reviewers vote | | 6 | The 6/12 mixed game appears to be gone, but has been replaced by a soft 2/5 NL game with a max. buyin of $300. Lots of rocks, but a few real players who will provide action. The casino has a must move policy, so if there are two tables at play, one is normally a lot tougher than the other. Tournaments on Mondays, Tuesdays, and, I think, Wednesdays. |
