Several of us who have been taking the game more seriously migrated to Platinum from APL and home games. The management is really great in terms of friendliness and helpfulness. I have played tournaments and cash games there and I haven't seen anybody unhappy. So if you play for pleasure and are good enough to win or break even, this is a good venue. I would rather play here than in the non-Vegas casinos I have visited. The food is good and the wait staff is very cordial. There are several players who play in big games elsewhere and at least a couple who are considering the tour. Although the crowd is young and sometimes the play is loose and aggressive (I am 60) I notice that every event has a different character -- variety is both educational and entertaining.

But hey, what do you expect. This stuff comes out of rake, so the food is usually going to be "eeeh" anyway.
Overall staff and service - 10. Very nice people, quick with checks to get you in the game, always ready to reload.
