Re: Make this call?

Re: Make this call?

[quote:24daa08279="CmeTilt"]SB bets $12, I wanted to see where I'm at and raised to $30.[/quote:24daa08279]
See where you're at? It's 4-handed and you flopped a flush. I think we know where you're at.

If you're not going to call in this spot, then there's no reason to even play the game.

Had the money been deeper you could make an argument for proceeding differently. If you each had, say, $500 in front of you, then I would favor the "small-ball" approach of just calling his bet on the flop and seeing how safe the turn card is before committing more chips. Most bad players will call off all their chips with two cards to come and a nice draw, but even the loosest players tend to tighten up with just one more card on the way.

Now granted, I'm sure that when it's all said and done you ended up losing this hand or something (or else it wouldn't have been posted on here), but them's the breaks. If someone wants to consistently talk themself into folding flopped flushes in 4-handed play, then be my guest. Me? I'll be shoving all of my chips into the middle in grand Hellmuthian fashion.
