Westonpoker.com Finishes 12th Place in Event #41

I'm not really sure how to feel right now. They say close to 300 people started the Media/Celebrity event. I finished in 12th place. I'm really happy to have made it that far, but kinda disappointed that I didn't make the final table when I was that close. (And I have nothing to show for a 12th place finish.) The top 10 finishers had charity donations made in their name. I was playing for the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex Boys and Girls club. I figured this is a DFW based website, so I better represent. I got to play poker with a lot of really cool people. It was the best feeling in the world having over 200 people watch you when you're at the final two tables. I felt like I made it in the poker world. People were taking my picture and writing down hands I played. It was bizarre, and I'm not exaggerating one bit. I can die a happy man. Some celebrities included: Nicole Ritchie (no Paris Hilton), Shannon Elizabeth, some guy from the O.C. and Anacondas 2, Penn & Teller, the Amazing Jonathan, Elvis, the guy from Everybody loves Raymond, a handful of famous pros, Lon McCharan (sp?), etc... It was a blast, and I highly recommend you guys request media passes next year. I will post photos here in a minute. |
