Re: Cash Game Hand

Re: Cash Game Hand

[quote:e40d5cfeaf="Zero"][quote:e40d5cfeaf="Zero"]Has an interesting hand come up today while I was at PR.

1-2NL
10 handed table.

I was in middle position. A couple callers in front of me, I limped with
[b:e40d5cfeaf]67o (black cards)[/b:e40d5cfeaf] 8 players to the flop.

[b:e40d5cfeaf]Flop
8 9 10 (2 diamonds)

Player 1 in EP bets $7,
Player 2 next to him raises to $17[/b:e40d5cfeaf].

I am next to act, and so while I am pondering what to do with my flopped straight...the 5 players behind me all fold out of turn and Player 1 "calls" the raise from Player 2. Then when I say..."uhhh, I think its my turn to act" Player 1 pulls his call back. (yeh yeh, I know his money should stay out there, but thats not important for this hand)

So with all that new information. I sit and ponder what do they have. I have both of them covered, they both have about $150ish, while I somehow built my $120 buyin to $250ish or so by then.

A little info on the 2 players.
Player 1 fires out at every pot on the turn if it checks around, or on the flop if he is in LP. His early bet told me he might have a pair or flush draw?

Player 2 is more tight, and straight forward player.

I thought about just calling. I was torn. Being a limped pot and on that board I instantly assumed I was up against a bigger straight draw. I went back and forth on what to do. I even talked to the table a little bit.

"this would be so weak if I just folded this hand, but I don't think I can just call....its either fold or raise"

I was thinking, a call didn't do much for me. I already knew Player 1 was going to call. So any card that comes might improve one or both of their hands.

One of the other players then prompted me to..."fuck it, just push" after my little speech.

At which point I grabbed a stack of red and said [b:e40d5cfeaf]"okay, lets do fifty"[/b:e40d5cfeaf]

My thought was, only someone with a ton of outs (assuming they actually count their outs and odds) would call my raise. Neither one of them I considered "maniacs" so I wasn't worried about a crazy all in or anything like that.

After a little deliberation, [b:e40d5cfeaf]Player 1 called the full $50. Player 2 thought for a little while. And ended up mucking[/b:e40d5cfeaf]. (he later told me that he had JTo)

[b:e40d5cfeaf]The turn: K (black card)[/b:e40d5cfeaf]

Player 1 checks to me....what now?[/quote:e40d5cfeaf]

check and pray for a 2 of clubs.
or push all in...
