The Poker Roller Coaster I was on Last Night! (Long Thread)
Anyone of you that knows me (not many according to the head count at the last game I hosted) know that I don't gamble much. I like getting together with you guys and playing the small live tourneys. Well, that all changed last night.
I had finally deposited some money in my PokerStars.com account and was playing for money the last few days. Then last night, I found out what a "sit-n-go" was. I tried it for $5 + $.50. 9 players. With 8 players left I found myself at $265 in chips. I lost almost everything to the big stack of $4000+. Well, I told him I thought he was bluffing and he made a mistake. He said, "why would you say that? Just say good hand and leave it at that!" I responded politely and he kept on. Then I noticed something. As I typed and he responded, he started making stupid moves and getting frustrated, but he wouldn't stop responding to me. Well, I said "Tilt much?" Oh, did he get pissed. Next thing I know he is swearing and calling me names, etc. After about 30 minutes I said, "Did you even realize that when you opened your mouth for the first time you were big stack by $2K, and now you are second to last and I am big stack?" Then I went all-in with AA and he called with 88. Needless to say, he was out. I finished 2nd and took home $13.50. Well, it was 1am and everyone was asleep in the house, so I decided to push my luck. This time I got all the way down to $100 and worked my way back up and finished 2nd, again. So I spent $11 playing and won $27. That was the greatest thrill! Now it's 2am. I'm tired and just wanted to play a couple more hands. I joined a NL $.50/$1 table and pulled off a King high flush on the flop. Guy across goes all-in after calling all the way to the river. Well needless to say, I lost $13 of my $16 take in one NL hand to an Ace high flush.
I'M NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY NL TABLES ONLINE ANYMORE!!! I CAN'T BE TRUSTED!
I know somebody is going to post something about, "How did you not know he had a Ace high flush?" Or point out the problems with my game from what little I told you. Before you do, realize something! YOUR NOT PERFECT, EITHER!!
Geez, I guess I really am about upset about last night!
I just thought I would share a "newbie" experience with you guys. I'm going to try the same thing tonight without playing the NL tables. |
