Sore Loser?
went to the casino up here in OK last night. I sat down at the 2/5 table, which is now a max buy in of 300 instead of the no max buy they had a couple of weeks ago. there was this drunk white trash dude there throwing money around like it was nothing. he had hit a big slot or something and just kept on gambling. you can only buy in for 300 max now, and he had a thousand in chips in his hand that he kept going to. I asked the dealer if he could make him put all his chips on the table. he then put the stack in his hand in his pocket for a while. but he kept going to it. in his defense, he wasn't doing it on purpose, he was drunk and dumb. well there were college kids at the table and one of them was particularly good. he had about 1500 in chips total. after I said something about the drunk guys chips, they said just leave him alone and let him have allt he chips otu there that he wants because he was throwing it around. the good college kid, had taken 400 from the drunk guy already so they were all good. then it got to be heads up with them two again. the drunk guy pushes all in for over a grand and the kid calls. the kid flips over a straight, and the drunk guy flips over AA444 to beat him. he was hootin and hollerin(was actually kind of funny), but the kid was sick. he calls the floor and tells them that this guy couldn't have had that much money in winnings and since the max buy in was 300 that he shouldn't have to pay out that much. he tells them to review the tapes, and they did, to see what he shoudl have had out there. he knew all the floor guys by first name so I guess he plays there a lot. the drunk guy gets pissed of course and tells him quit crawfishin on his gambling. It was much crazier than it sounds. when I left, they had told the kid there was nothing they could do. he was still appealing...
the way I see it, had he won, he would have taken the drunks money. and if he had a problem with all those chips being out there, he should have said something when I asked or before he called the all in. seems like a sore loser move to me. he was a nice guy, but he was making a fool of himself with the whining. |
