Please Don't Laugh at My Dreams!
I know that quite a few of you will not take me seriously, however I need to get some advice from real poker players! I want to at least attempt to qualify for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for the Jan 2006 WPT event at Atlantis. Take your time, and when you are done laughing, and are interested in helping me, please feel free to read on.
First, which route do I take in order to qualify? I believe I’ve eliminated the “Free-Roll” route. It involves too many people, too many different tourneys, and too much time. I’m thinking of just joining as many of the $5.50 Daily Satellites that I can afford within reason. Since I can’t afford the $615 + $35 Buy-in Cash Qualifier, I need to know what a “$175 buy-in Double Shoot-Out” is. Does it make more sense to just take the plunge and try with the $175 for a direct chance instead of all the time and money involved in the $5.50 route? Also, can someone explain how a Sit-N-Go can qualify you? I guess, when I get home and have the ability to research this more on PokerStars, I might have my answers. I partly just wanted to get this out because if I let it slip at Tom’s house on Saturday, then you will have already gotten all the laughter out of your system. I’m hoping for a smaller chance of actual laughter in my face.
