Cards needed to place 4 out of 45. Interesting
So I played a $10 45-person NLHE tourney tonight. I was noticing that my stats at the end showed I had only seen 10% of the flops. So I thought I'd break down the numbers. Here's the highlights (or what I considered lowlights).
Out of 140 hands:
Ax - 17
AK - 0
AQ - 0
AJ - 2
Two Painted (Counting A) - 4
Pocket Pairs - 7 (33, 33, 44, 55, 77)
Pocket Pairs T+ - 2 (TT, JJ)
Connectors - 19
Suited Connectors - 3
Those numbers pretty much show what I felt going on while playing.....lots and lots of folding. I was lucking to cash on a few of the decent hands and made it into the money. I'll probably do this breakdown again soon on another tourney that didn't seem so cold and see how it compares. |
