vegas was alot of fun...
I will admit that i was frustrated by the play of some people ... actually pissed at how many people chased cards and made hands...
however sunday night made my trip... I played well and was rewarded for my play.. the tournament was 40 dollar buy in and a 20 dollar rebuy.. .
there were about 170 players(168 i think to be exact) and around 30 alternates that when people would get knocked out some one else would join in...thus around 200 total...
I had some close calls and a few bad beats... when there were only like 50 people left i got dealt AA... and double the big blind bet(4k?) ... had 1 caller then the another guy went all in ... well i had to call him (and I had him covered by about 10-15k)... he had pocket 2's ...
sure enough a 2 came on the flop...
that hurt me bad ... if that had not happened i think i would have come in alot closer to 1st... (i would have had the chip lead for the entire tourny)...
so i play cautious and win a few hand here and there ... ..
I get to the final 2 tables... i am getting to get blinded out and finish in like 16th and not in the money when i get dealt A-Q... everyone is folding then the guy right before me bet like 5k more than i have... (i think the blinds where at like 3-6k ) anyway i have to do it now or never type thing.. .so i go all in.. .
everyone else folds... the guy had a-k... the flop.. the turn .. the river... and I rivered a straight to the queen... what are the odds... so i am still in it and i can withstand a few blinds now ... i won another hand ... then it was time for the final table ... i was in the money... was short stacked compared to everyone ... except one or two people ...
after a few hands i get dealt A-j... i decide i might be able to steal one bettor and the blinds bets ... so i go all in ... the blinds fold ... the guy that bet thinks thigns over then calls me ... he had 10-10... and well i lost... nothing paired... so i came in 11th... did not pay much but i was proud that i at least made the final table (12 person table,,weird) |
