skill vs. luck

skill vs. luck

All of us have had "bad" beats, when loose or inferior players got lucky against us. And all of us have won hands we had no business playing.

Luck obviously plays a part.

But, how big?

If we all continue to get better, will it come down to luck?

What about players much better than us? Is it just luck when Lederer takes down Ivey?

What skills do we need most (other than luck)? I really believe I have the skills to "go pro", and my excuse is that I don't have the bankroll (or maybe the cojones).

Thoughts?
