My first time... Online Poker

My first time... Online Poker

Well, I'm no longer an online poker virgin. It didn't hurt much.

I signed-up for one of those free bankroll things and finally received my $75.00 on Party. I figured if I'm gonna learn, I'll do it on someone elses dime.

I've been goofing around on the play-money SNGs on Party, so I figured I'd give it a shot. $5+$1 SNG. Was doing well until unexpected interruptions (kids) wouldn't allow me to finish the game. I put it on auto-pilot and eventually fell out before the money. My fault, should have scheduled it better.

I then signed-up for their "new depositor" freeroll. I actually qualified with the free bankroll money.

While waiting, I decided to play around on the Beginner tables. All of the .10/.15 tables had a ton of people waiting. Decided to do some damage on the .25/.50 beginner table. Bought in for the min $12.75. Ended up leaving the table (for the tourney) with $15 and some change.

Freeroll Tourney - Had a couple of good plays. Then, I made a great play with the nut flush. It was beautiful! I was a proud papa! A few hands later I made a terrible read and dropped half my stack. Went on tilt, donked-off the rest of my chips in a blaze of glory! Oh, well...

Checked back at the .10/.15 tables. Still a ridiculous wait list. Went back to the .25/.50 tables. Bought back in at $12.75. Left the table awhile later with $15 and some change, again.

Bottom line: Started with $75.00, now have $72 something.

All in all, it was a good experience.
