Rounding Again
Well, it's been a while since I logged on or visited a poker room. I hadn't played since Barge (which was in August, I believe).
I went back to the Venetian poker room this past weekend. On Friday night, I played 1-2 NL for about 2 hours and won $75. I left early to meet some friends at Green Valley Ranch. That $75 was just enough to get me to go back the next day for a session.
On Saturday around 2 PM, I arrived at the Venetian. I sat at the 1-2NL game again. My chip stack peaked at $990, but unfortunately, I didn't leave until it went down to $850. A nice profit of $650 in 13 hours of poker. I had a grilled cheese from the food court. At 3 AM I was a zombie, and headed to Putters for wings on the way home. It's good to be rounding again.
I can't tell you how cool it was to be at a 1-2 NL table with a pyramid of almost $1000 in front of me in $5 increments. People that were being sat at our table were asking for an immediate seat change. I do have to admit though that I didn't play the big stack very well. I didn't strike fear into anyone, just kept playing conservative. Probably could have started stealing pots, but was too scared to make moves. Anyway, thought I would share... |
