Back at it...
After last Saturday's return to poker at the Venetian, I decided I would give it another try this weekend. I set a specific goal for myself. I wanted to win enough money to buy a PS2 console, Guitar Hero 2, an extra controller, and some other games.
After 1 and 1/2 hours, I had increased my $200 chip stack to $650. I played conservative for another 6 hours... going up and down. I left with over $550 tonight, and went to Walmart, where I proceeded to buy:
1) A PS2 Console
2) Guitar Hero 2
3) MLB 2K6
4) An extra controller
...And I left the store with more money than I had in my pocket when I started the day. I like playing poker at the Venetian. It's probably the softest game I've ever played, and it pays well. I might go back tomorrow because of MLK on Monday. I need a goal though... I think my next goal is to buy a new computer. |
