Tournament Strategy Question

Tournament Strategy Question

I've been playing more Online Tournament trying to find the best stack strategy.

I have noticed that 10 - 12K in chips is a good amount to carry you "INTO" the money without risking much more, until you rise in place enough to pay for the tourney or make some reasonable profit.

(My tourney's as of late have been dissappointing due in part to my impatience and from that making bonehead plays! ;) )

However I feel that once you hit the 10 - 12K level of chips, doea it not make sense to let this carry you into the money? Once in the money you could let loose knowing you made it ro the point of a positive return on your investment, everything else from this point on would be gravy.

Or should you keep grinding playing good hands and risking making any money at all?

What are some of your takes on this?

Thanks.
