"PRO-AM POKER PLAYERS EXPO" CONVENTION KICK OFF!!!
Hello everyone, my name is Gary J. Stone and I am the promoter for
the "Pro-Am Poker Players Expo" coming this March 17th, 18th, 19th in
Oklahoma City, Ok. It is the kick- off convention for the
forthcoming "P.A.P.P.E." expos across this nation starting this May.
It will be 12-18 cities per leg of tour. The "P.A.P.P.E." conventions
will be up north for summer and down south for winter. Each leg will
last about 4-6 weeks. We hope to visit over 50 cities per year.
Our first convention is at the Biltmore Hotel in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. It is the largest hotel in Oklahoma. Our conventions will
feature vendors and guests from all over the United States and other
countries. We will have over 50-60 vender tables per day for this
event. At the time of the press release we will name all vendors that
will be involved as well as scheduled speakers and guest.
Vendors can vary from Poker authors, casinos, tournament promotions,
new gaming devices, poker affiliates, and poker collectables.
Collectables could range from t-shirts, books, chips, felts, video,
dvds, apparel, posters, games, cd-roms, playing decks, card tricks,
systems, magazines and much more. Just about anything Poker should be
able to be found at this convention. Some people with Poker and
gaming related websites have contacted me and asked since they are
not selling merchandise could they still get a vendor's booth. Well I
am here to tell you, yes you can. There will be phone outlets and
Internet service provided by the hotel. There has been a lot of
concern having a 3-day event so I made a change to help out the
vendors that attend. For all vendors that do all 3 days (Thursday,
Friday, Saturday) I will give you one free day. You buy 2 tables
Thursday and Friday and Saturday is free. This is only good with pre-
pay only.
Promotion for this event will be extensive. I am promoting this event
to all TV, radio, college, gaming message boards, high-profile
websites, classified ads and over 5000 media flyers and posters. The
press release will be very thorough on the details of this event. I
am giving out over 200 comps per day/event to help ensure the vendors
that come do well. I recently put together a promotion package for
the police, fire-rescue and military in the state of Oklahoma. The
discounts are available to anyone in the nation wanting to attend. If

around the Oklahoma City area and would like to sell advance tickets

Gary Carson is the author of The Complete Book of Hold'em poker and
The Complete Book of Casino Poker. In addition to the two books on
poker, Gary has written for Card Player, Poker Digest, Live Action
Poker and various websites. Until recently, he lived in Mississippi;
he's currently traveling the country, visiting various poker rooms
and writing a book about the year on the road. He can be reached on

Pody Poe will be our headliner for the March 17th and 18th
conventions. He will be conducting a speech on his life, trials, and
some great advice. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Pody
Poe this past week and I must say I am looking forward to hearing
about what he has to say. Pody Poe is a very nice well-spoken person

This is a Poker player's convention but it is for merchandise,
information and a good time. No gambling will be allowed at this
event or on its premises.
It will be an open all-ages show. Cameras and video cameras are
welcome.
Pre-purchase tickets for this event will be available through ticket
agents as well as EBAY. Tickets will be $15.00 in advance or $20.00
at the door. There will be military personnel/family, police, fire-
rescue, and senior citizen discounts at the door. The admission will
be half price at the door for $10.00.
The convention will start on a Thursday and end on a Saturday. The
convention doors will open at 10:00 am and close at 10:00 pm each
day. This convention will go on rain or shine. There will be door
prizes for the first 50-100 for each day of the convention. The
Gamblers Book Store (Howard Schwartz-Manager) has signed on to give
us books that will be given away at the top of hour. I will be
putting their very extensive catalog free to the conventioneers to
obtain. If there is any gaming or poker related business that would
like to sponsor or look at banner advertising for this event feel

Vendors will have access for Internet and phone lines for their
tables if needed. If you would like information to be a dealer for

first serve basis. These will go quickly so don't wait too long. So
far, response has been fantastic. I suggest if you plan on being a
vendor to make plans to contact me soon.
Brochure Advertising is also available to anyone who may be
interested. All information and instructions should be emailed to me
at garzack@myway.com. Brochure advertising is 10.00 per add and can
be paid to PAYPAL at darltito@aol.com. Brochures will be handed out
to all guests at the door and a copy will be made available to all
who have purchased an advertisement. Please send with payment a
business card, 200 word of written text, or any print ready materials
you would like to include in the add.
