The Over-thinker

The Over-thinker

Is it annoying to you guys when a person thinks about a call or a fold for about 30 seconds to a minute when from an outside perspective it is very obvious what the person should do?

I was playing last night and came into a situation that I thought the hand through a couple of extra seconds when I knew I was going to call and from anybody else's point of view it was an auto-call. I told the table I wanted to think the hand through one more time before making the call. Then I proceeded to (somewhat jokingly) apologize to everyone for wasting their time when (like I figured it would be) my opponent and I ended up splitting the pot.

The reason I ask is because I would rather see a person take a little extra time every once in a while to make a play. In my mind it shows the person is thinking things through and paying attention. I don't want this to happen every third hand or anything, but once in every hour or two it is nice to see a player take some time to analyze the situation a little more.
