What's the deal with Ted Lawson?

What's the deal with Ted Lawson?

Are any of you following this guy? He's made three final tables in the past month, took second in two separate 10K events since March, and from all accounts he totally sucks at poker. You may remember him as the guy who won the 2004 WSOP bracelet in Pot Limit Omaha, even though he had no idea how to play Omaha. Now, he's third in the CardPlayer rankings, and people are shocked at how he's even getting close in these tournaments. Goes to show you that there's no such thing as dead money.
