little math help please

little math help please

i am obviously missing something here ...

i was not even involved in the hand...

Player A : K_Q of clubs
Player B: Kh Ks

plater B raises 3x preflop. player A calls.

the flop is 9c-5c-9h

player B bets . player A goes all in player B calls ...

turn is :
9d

river is 4 of clubs.

ok so player A with the k-q clamins that he was ahead on the flop. please explain how this is so? he was not budging .. saying that he was a slight favorite and that it was a coinflip...

then he said that even on the turn it was close.... frankly i dont see how he is not drawing dead ... can someone explain this to me ?

these are the people that i lose to on a daily basis so i would really like to understand this higher math etc that they are using....
