The thing about bad beats is...
I hear a lot of you guys talking about bad calls, and being pissed off at each other for making a stupid call, so I'd like to throw my two cents in...
Don't you want someone to call your all-in with a weaker hand? I mean, the odds are in your favor. If you never got called when you had a better hand, you'd never win any money. Eventually, the worse hand will outdraw the better, but it won't happen everytime. I'll take a call from K10 everytime I have AK, because, in the long run, I'll win.
It sounds to me like people on this board want other players to lay down when they go all in with the stronger hand vs. a weaker hand. Well if we all did that, we'd just be trading blinds right? The strong hand would never pay off. I don't know, just my two cents.
And believe me, whenever the weak hand beats the stronger hand, nobody thinks that player made a great move, or is a great player; we all knew they got lucky on the draw. Swallow your pride and say "nice catch", and move on. Otherwise, you'll never be great. (Phil Helmuth is exempt from this rule.) |
