Fun.
In a HORSE sng, 3 handed a player is severely short-stacked in a hold'em round (150/300) for 337. So 1011 in the pot to the flop with no side pot. Flop comes 882 with 2 diamonds. You have T2o no diamonds and are first to act. You check, he bets 300. You call (obviously, duh). Turn comes the golden Td. Yes! Three pair is good enough to slowplay here. Check. He checks? River is the 6d, so no help there but there're 4 diamonds on the board and your three pair is probably still good anyways and if not, you can bluff this guy off the pot. Bet. He folds. You win the 600 side pot. Somehow, the all-in guy was super duper lucky to have two black Aces and win the main pot. He's really nice, and it's obvious all three final players are really good, so you don't mind going out 3rd a little while later. And, that guy who was shortstacked goes on a tear and wins! Poker is fun. |
