I don't play with you guys near enough, but I will take a stab at this. My final table selecting two from each table will look like this:
1. Shawn "Smculberts" (Table 1) It's his tournament. He deserves to play at the final table.
2. Trever "RedZero" (Table 1) I don't really have a reason to pick RedZero over anyone else. I just recognize his screen name more than any other person, so I am going with it.
3. Zach H. "Chopz" (Table 2) If his game in Arlington is anything like it usually is then I don't think it will be easy to extract chips from Zach. He held onto his chips rather well and didn't let go until his Big Slick ran into Aces, so I think he will make it to the final table.
4. Jimmie Florence-DSOP'r (Table 2) I have no idea who this person is but he just has a name that sounds like it belongs at a final table of a poker game. "And then we have Jimmie "The Italian" Florence, an old school guy whose family came over because his father couldn't become a made guy in the homeland due to an unknown conflict with the reigning Don at the time."
5. Jim "theJim" (Table 3) He is one of the best card readers I have come across and when he is "on" he is unstoppable. This may be a default choice for some but I truly think he will be a force on Saturday (Jim, don't prove me wrong).
6. Rob "TheNUTS" (Table 3) I am choosing Rob because I feel like I have to. He and I have a small history that mostly consists of me winning pots that I don't deserve. I have only played with him twice or three times but I expect greatness at this tournament.
7. Matt "Mobyd" (Table 4) Well of course I'm going to choose myself. That would just show no self-confidence if I didn't (even if I am afraid that my five-month losing streak will continue Saturday).
8. Scott "OnTilt" (Table 4) I was impressed with his play in Arlington and from what I have heard it wasn't just a one-time thing. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the final table.
9. James "Poker" (Table 5) I have faith in my partner (not that kind of partner). I fully expect him to double up and get a nice chip lead very early in the tournament, but it is up to him if he holds on to those chips. He does have a sordid history of losing chip leads. What? I'm just sayin'.
10. Brad A. "Brada" (Table5) I want him to be at the final table so that there are some good laughs. I didn't get to play with Brad much in Arlington, but what I overheard from him was quite humorous. |
