Vegas Trip 08
Just got back from Vegas and while the experience was profitable....note to self, don't take the family (wife & kids) to Vegas. The trip was fun though but there is really not alot for kids without blowing a shitload of money on Cirque or some similar show. Then it's like what's next.
I made all of my money on hoops and my one poker venture at the poker room of Treasure Island. Again, note to self....go back there next year (sans family) because it was a very soft room. I played 1-3 because that's really all that was open, the room at the TI is small, like 6 tables, so it had that dark, underground feeling I am used to. put myself on the list with 8 people in front and was seated 15 minutes later, that should tell you something right there. I sat down, swiped my player card, threw 2 hundy down and first hand saw the player to my right chase his flush all the way to the river against QQ with a Q on the flop. Going all in would not stop him from throwing his draw away....his excuse was "hey I just got in to Vegas a few hours ago, I'm here to win." Needless to say it gave me a warm fuzzy feeling when I crippled him later when my well conceled boat on the turn gave him a straight draw which he rivered.
Anyway ....
buy in $200 at 11:30pm
cash out $846 at 2:15am
I am going out to Vegas next year and will try this room again but look foward to seeing some of the bigger rooms. I'm sure I will post the question later......I am tired from the trip and now have to go to Indianapolis for work all week................................. |
