The point that Negreanu is making is that 1) he most likely would not have check-raised the flop with JT (meaning that Tran can take that hand out of the list of Negreanu's reasonable possibilities) and 2) Tran most likely [i:d6825095b9]would[/i:d6825095b9] have bet the flop and then called negreanu's check-raise with JT. Those two points combined make it very easy for Tran to represent the nut straight when the 9 comes on the turn.
The real point of the post is to not give a player an opportunity to outplay you. |
