KidPoker vs CardRunner

KidPoker vs CardRunner

How come no one on Weston talks some shit to other weston members and challenges them to some online action?

Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu vs Brian "$tinger 88" Hastings?

It seems as though there might be an online match in the works between Daniel Negreanu and Brian Hastings.

The two sides have indicated a willingness to play two heads-up matches, one involving No Limit Hold'em and one involving H.O.R.S.E. Negotiations are currently underway to figure out the appropriate blind levels in each game, but it appears as though there will be $100k on the line in each match-up. Negreanu has indicated that he would be interested in playing for $100k in a $100/$200 No Limit Hold'em game, as well as having a $100k freezeout playing $500/$1000 H.O.R.S.E. All of this is according to Negreanu's most recent blog posting.

Hastings, a member of "Team Cardrunners", seems to be up for the challenge and it appears as though this match-up will happen once the two sides agree on all of the details.

This match would take place on Pokerstars, as Negreanu plays exclusively on that site. I believe that the Cardrunners deal with Full Tilt Poker allows the players to play on other sites, while Negreanu doesn't have that sort of flexibility in his contract.

Hastings is, without a doubt, one of the top online NLHE / PLO cash game players. Negreanu, on the other hand, has years and years of experience playing mixed cash games against some of the best players in the world. People assume that Hastings would have a big edge in No Limit Hold'em, while Negreanu would have the edge in H.O.R.S.E.

I personally think that Negreanu's edge in H.O.R.S.E. is bigger than Hasting's edge in No Limit Hold'em. People seem to think that Hastings would have a "huge" edge in No Limit Hold'em, but I don't think that this would be the case. Overall I think that Hastings is a phenomenal No Limit cash game player, and would have an edge over time, but a much smaller edge than most people would think.

H.O.R.S.E. is a pretty complex game, and Negreanu's years and years of mixed game experience would give him a substantial edge (in my opinion).

I hope that this match-up actually takes place, as it should prove to be a pretty interesting match-up.
