quick hits from Vegas
Got back Saturday morning after 4 LONG days of drinking non stop partying with the Clemson boys.....
Here are the quick highlights...
* Played a couple hours of poker while I was there. I pulled off a pretty funny bluff while I was there just to amuse my buddies who were behind me watching. I dont remember the way the hand played out, but long story short, the board was A K J 10 4 with 3 diamonds on the board. There were only 3 players in the pot in the end. I missed my club flush draw....a guy bet $40 on the river into about a $100 pot. I had $120 left in front of me and pushed all in.......he layed down, I turned over 6 high. My buddies, who arent regular poker players but understand the concept of the game, started laughing outloud, which really pissed the other player off at the table, kinda funny.
* Karma did get back at me 2 days later, I was playing at Flamingo, turned a full house, but lost to a guy that flopped a royal, that sucked pretty bad...........there was a raise pre flop to $12 (playing 1/2).....I called with K J hearts.....flop came K Q J, all clubs......guy leads out with $20, 2 callers, turned the K, same guy leads out with $50, I had $150 left in front of me, I push, he insta calls with the royal.........ouch.
* We were in the VIP area of LAX on Thursday night and saw Mike Tyson, damn that guy is one scary bastard...........he is ripped though....pretty big guy.
*Went to the Rio pool the 1st day while we were waiting on our suite.....that pool sucked, it was terrible......we were at the Flamingo pool every day after that, damn that pool is phenomenal.......
Good Times the whole way around..........kinda good to be home now though...... |
