pocket 3's

pocket 3's

so last night I was playing and I was down about $30-40 bucks Its about time to leave and i get dealt pocket 3's. I raise to $10 and 1 guy calls and another goes all in.

the guy that called is a decent player and the guy that went all in was a gorilla bettor, in other words he would try to get people to fold by making massive bets which worked out fine for him the first hour he was there but in the long run he lost the 500-600 he had accumulated and he was down to his last $68 dollars...

so given his tendency to raise or reraise with nothing i decided to call.
1. I figured that if i win that I will have made mone that evening...
2. he was often bluffin and i figured that it would be a horse race.
3. I figured that is i caleld the other decent palyer would fold.

So i called..
and well he had 77 thus i was pretty much shit out of luck especially on the turn when a 7 had fallen.

so was this a bad call? I guess it was but i never put him on a pocket pair. if i fold then i do walk away with 60-70 more dolalrs in my pocket...

how do you deal with that situation?
