Single table. Top 3 pay. I was going to try something, but i wanted to get opinion/experience on it first.
I like to play poker. I like to see flops. It gets me in trouble. However, if I have to play tight I won't play a hand out of the blinds unless it is a given. I mean only playing AJ or higher & Pairs have to be 10 or higher. To me, that is tight ass playing. However, I noticed that by the time we get to the bubble normally only 2 players have any real money left. Question being. If you only check your BB hands and fold everything else, aren't you almost guaranteed to be in the money? I realize if you don't win a pot your chances go out the window as the blinds go up, but some of these games have been on the bubble with the blinds at like $25/$50. Quick games.
Is this strategy worth it? Is the REAL point of poker to play (not just try to be in the money)?
