I find sometimes I show cards repeatedly if I want to give the impression that I don't bluff. Then I find it easier to buy pots without going all the way in. However, it takes the right kind of table. A table full of "ya-hoo" poker cowboys would not be smart enough to realize that I don't bluff. Like last night, in my 3rd SNG with 18 people left. I was playing ultra-conservative. I got involved in a pot with QQ and there was a Q on the board. The guy calls me all the way down with 7 6 off suit. I finally typed in, "Have you not been paying attention? I've shown my cards everytime. I DON'T BLUFF!" Some other LOL'd and stuff. Then a few hands later he did the same thing. I wrote, "Here's your sign!"
Anyone have any opinion on showing cards for a long-term tournament strategy? Has anyone ever used it in another way? I think it might be a lost art?
