Am I missing something here, If you missed the flop or don't have a strong hand, fold, unless you are just trying to outplay the person I don't see why you would care if its a blocking bet if you missed anyway.
Seems the only time you care is when you have a made hand with vulnerable holdings or you are on a draw.
