[quote:ba5f7da9d5="Zero"]I was pondering how to play this hand. Before I say anymore, I'd like to get some feedback on what should or shouldn't be done on a couple spots here.
[b:ba5f7da9d5]The Scenario:[/b:ba5f7da9d5]We are in the Final 3 tables from a large MTT tournament. (over 1000 entered)
I have about 100 Big Blinds. I have been stealing pots from the loose and aggressive bigger stack to my left with re-raising some of his opens, he has been running over the table mostly players with stacks of 20-30 BB's.
[b:ba5f7da9d5]PreFlop Action[/b:ba5f7da9d5]
This LAG big stack player open raises from UTG with his standard raise amount. I look down at AQo and I re-raise with a standard re-raise amount. It folds around to the LAG and he puts in a re-re-raise.
What should I do here and why? Call, Fold, Push? If I only call I will only have enough chips for a pot sized bet on the flop.[/quote:ba5f7da9d5]
I think its a pretty easy fold here. If you have been stealing pots from this same player by reraising some of his opens, then why not keep chipping away at him like that to accumulate chips. Why play back at him when he 3 bets? Everyone plays differently but AQo here has got to be at least one of the weakest hands to reraise UTG with. With the stacks the way they are then this is a no brainer fold for me. I like the reraise as it has apparently been effective, but if he puts the third bet in you gotta lay it down with this hand in this spot.
Another thing, yeah he outplays us in this spot with J8, but doesnt that make it more likely that he'll try it again? Sometimes it pays off, especially in deep stack events, to let them 'get away' with one. Depending on your range for re-raising this guy, the chances have got to be pretty good that you can get in a more dominating position later.
I also agree with Josh, if I had seen him 3 or 4 bet lightly from early position then I might push but thats pretty much it.
