$1/2 NLHE @ Motor City Casino Advice #5

$1/2 NLHE @ Motor City Casino Advice #5

The game's pretty loose, I'm UTG with $280 I have 9  8  and decide to limp. My image at this point is TAG.
There's two callers behind me, and the SB $240 (a loose brave player) makes it $20. Which for him isn't very unusual he could have any big A or mid pair.
The BB $650 (an even looser player who could have any two) makes the call, I make the call and one of the players behind me (seat 4 $75) makes the call. $80 in the middle and here comes the flop.

8 :diamond: A  7

SB Bets $80, BB folds, I shove, Seat 4 calls and SB calls.

SB shows A :club: J :club: Seat 4 shows J :diamond: J

Turn 6  River 4 :spade:

I thought that SB would make the pot continuation bet with anything he would have raised with not just an A. Even with the A, he might fold thinking I have a set or 2pr. There was so much $ in the middle it didn't matter what seat 4 had with only $60 or so left. It was obvious that SB was afraid of the board and didn't want to see another card. If a scare card came, it would kill my action + I thought there was a little fold equity. I obviously got lucky, not sure if a call on the turn was the better play or not.
