calling an all-in with A-high

calling an all-in with A-high

alright so here was the deal, it worked out for me

this was a private home game, $20 buy-in, no-limit cash game, $.50/$1 blinds

i am dealt Ac 10c
there were a few very loose players at this table, so with any playbable hand, a very substantial raise is needed, i am one spot ahead of the button, player under the gun had raised $10, i had over $75 in front of me, i called, we were the only two in the pot, this player is quite loose and bluffs a little too often, the flop came 8h, 4s, 2d, he immediately without hesitation goes all-in, my first instinct was get out of the hand,
but after i sat back and thought about it, my only scare from this player in particular was a high pocket pair or absolutely nothing, i had watched him all night and was waiting for a chance to catch him bluffing, i decided to call his all-in of about $55, almost positive i had the read on him, and i was right, he had KdQs, and didnt hit anything on the turn or river and i busted him,

i figured i didnt have a good hand, but i was almost positive i had the best hand, any thoughts about his play or mine
