so i was in austin this weekend playing in a cash game at UT
blinds were $.50/$1
i was on the button with 4s,4d, and the table folded around to me, i raised $3 over the big blind, and only the big blind calls, flop came 5h, Qc, 7d, big blind checked, i did the same, turn was Jc, again big blind checks, i make a bet of $3 and he calls, this player tends to slowplay with smooth calls, so i was a little worried abt QJ, but i did think i was behind at least to a Q, i planned to check the river or fold to a bet and cut my losses, but the river came 4h, when he checked again, i was just about positive of pair of Qs or 2 pair QJ, i made a bet of $4, and he raised me $10, the first hand that flashed through my mind that he could have that beat me was 6 8 and he hit a straight, but i just couldnt see him on that hand, when i call and he turns over 6 8 offsuit, i was pretty shocked that he had that hand, especially after my raise preflop, i dont see how i could have had him on that straight, any ideas about that
