Stealing blinds...opinions please

Stealing blinds...opinions please

Ok. Your on the button. Its folded all the way around to you. What is condisidered a good starting hand to steal the blinds? Anything? Ax? Facecards? I sometimes struggle with what these hands may be. Now I know that the pocket pairs, AK, AQ, big hands are easy to steal with, but other than those?

How much do you bet? The standard 3.5 -4 times BB raise? more? less?

And if you raise with a marginal hand and one of the blinds comes over the top, do you play back at them? I know I like to protect my blinds as I am sure most of you do, but help me out here.

I know there are variables that come with this like players in those positions and their tendancy's, but for this discussion, lets assume two types of players: loose and tight/aggressive.

Opinions?
