Re: *Puke*

Re: *Puke*

[quote:c762b02005="codelogic"]Got under 1000 with the guy in seat 8 smooth calling my river bet with the nut flush. I'm not sure what I did wrong here..I'm pretty sure nothing. I thought my bets were screaming "I'm weak! I'm weak!" ..and of course..make a good play and have this happen. What do you guys think he is thinking here?

OK, you did make a few mistakes (noting your comment above, only). The problem with this flop is that you let them get past the flop. You should have never checked, and I mean never against one person.

First off, you slowplayed Aces, which I can't see being worth a damn, second, you allowed him to bet into a free cards with a straight/and a flush draw. You should have closed him down with a BIG flop bet.

But keep in mind, it wasn't as though he got totally lucky either your call on the flop allowed the Jack to fall adding an additional 8 outs (Q's and 8's) to his already 6 outs (K's and 9's) giving him more than a positive opportunity to call.

Now I would think that he would hopefully discount the Queens as non outs (dropping him to a totoal of 10 outs), but that's enough for me to consider calling the bet in a fast blind structure too.
