So I am playing a freeroll with 10,000 entrants on PokerStars. After the first break a lot of people just gave up and there was in the neighborhood of 2,000 people left. So on every table there were 3-4 players playing for real and just picking up blinds from folded hands. Around when there was 850 players left I have about 35K in chips (strated 1500) which is roughly double the average chip stack. Now heres the hand and let me know if you think this was the right move...
I hold A7 off suit and call blind of 200 since this was the norm (call blind and play out against 2-3 players).
Flop comes out KcQcTd so I have a gutshot. Theres 5 real players playing this hand and stacks range from 10K to 60K. A small bet of 1K is placed and everyone calls.
Turn is Jd and seeing that I think i have the nut straight as long as a flush doesn't hit. So 1st position bets 2K, 2nd Position called, and then I raised to 10K because I know at max 4 of us have the Ace to make the straight. Late Position reraises to 20K...I think and re raise all in to get all the flush draws out, which 2 others follow suit. I have 35K into the pot, another one has 60K and the third (who re raised me) has 27K.
Well I dont have to tell you that the Qd hits and I am out around 850th place. (only top 27 out of 10000 make it to round 2) so I am not too disappointed but just trying to figure out if you push all in when your 90% sure its a chop pot?
please advise on this situation
