I never really had this happen to me or notice it a lot until recently.
Lately (4 times) in the past month or so, i've had pocket pairs hit trips on the flop and someone has hit bigger trips, I.E. i was playing in a 1/2 NL up at Winstar and i had pocket jacks, flop comes J 6 A (and he had pocket aces) turn and river were blanks. I thought i was slow playing a big hand the whole way, checking everytime and calling his bets and so on. I also had it work once in my favor i had pocket 10's someone else had pocket 6's and the flop came 10 8 6.
I was just wondering if other then folding a pocket pair pre-flop, is there anyway to sidestep this scenario?
