pot odds

pot odds

the idea of pot odds is that if you're getting the right price for you money, you should continue in a hand because, win or not, in the long term if will work out in your favor.

so...does pot odds apply to tourny play, considering it relatively a short term event and that any one hand can have tremendous effect on the outcome of the tourny.

i haven't put much thought into it, but my first thoughts are this.

i would give pot odds considerations if i was a big stack, and had room to play and manuvere with my chips.....or if i was short stack, possibly making my last stand.

but not so much in between.

any thoughts.
