freeroll

freeroll

well, i played the freeroll tonight. as a whole for the evening, tonight is probably the worst i've ever played. not sure if it's because i went in with a gambling mentality to start. or, what i believe is more likely, i just didn't really want to think about the game.

it was pretty much "i'm out...or i'm all in". didn't bother trying to read my opponents....didn't care if i thought i was behind or not. if i had decent cards, i just pushed.

so anyway, my original thought process was to go in and either make a big stack early or get knocked out. and i got knocked out.

i believe that when i have enough chips to play, and i'm not forced to make an all in or fold decision by the flop, that i can compete with anyone. the problem is getting enough chips to do that. which is why i went with the gamble early approach.

anyway, i'm just looking to hear some comments and criticism. i know there were several of you there tonight. what do you think is the best way to approach a game like this
