hand selection

hand selection

i'm reading all these hand histories and "what would you do" threads and i keep noticing a common point that comes.

the starting hand selection...and the very common "you probably shouldn't have played that hand to begin with" or something similar.

now i would honestly consider myself to be tighter than the average "poker player" (not the average person playing poker)...but i certainly don't limit my play to only top 10 hands. and i don't know of anyone here that i've played with on a regular basis that does. or really any person that i consider to be a really good player that does.

it's easy to say that you shouldn't play the KJ or A10 or J10 because you could be way behind...but how many of us would actually fold these hands to a reasonable preflop raise....if not raise with them yourself.

anyway...just a thought.
