it's easy to say that you shouldn't play the KJ or A10 or J10 because you could be way behind...but how many of us would actually fold these hands to a reasonable preflop raise....if not raise with them yourself.

Good points. I think I'd play these "weakish" hands based on the people at the table, and who is in the hand.
