Re: loosing touch with value

Re: loosing touch with value

[quote:305f4cd5fc="on tilt"][quote:305f4cd5fc="TommyTwoToes"]how many of yall have lost touch with the value of money since starting to play poker? i find myself saying ..."eh that is just one buy in" when referencing things that i want to buy. also when i think of 1 grand or even 5 grand i think of it as not much money.... when in reality it is.[/quote:305f4cd5fc]

to an extent but slightly different.

I don't have a problem bring $500 to a 10/20 game, know very well that i might walk away with nothing. but if i'm looking to purchase something for $500, i will probably go back and forth on it for months before i ever part with the money.[/quote:305f4cd5fc]

I am more along the lines of Scott. I will look at a purchase of $200-$300 and think it is quite a bit of money, but could buy into a 2/5 game with $500 and not think near as much about it.

I have flopped down as much as $500 for a tournament and didn't think twice yet if I have spent the last 1 1/2 weeks haggling with a guy to fix my car over him paying the last $250 of my deductible.
